We HATE spam. We get it all the time, and there's nothing worse. That's why we won't send you any email you haven't asked for (and everything is opt-IN, not opt-out), and we certainly will not sell (or even give away for free) your personal details to anybody else. We may however use non-identifiable information for advertising demographics, like telling companies we have 1000 registered users under the age of 21 for instance, but we won't actually reveal who those 1000 people are. We won't even publicly display your email address on any of our services, so nobody will be able to trawl through the pages harvesting addresses. We do however reserve the right to use or disclose any user information if we believe that user is violating the law, our rights, or the rights of other users of the site. We may also have to disclose the information if legally required by a court order, but we will notify you if this happens. We may also transfer the information in our possession in connection with a sale of assets of the company, a sale of the company or a merger.
"Service" means all parts of the website What Film, including but not limited to the film database, forums, reviews, blogs, user profiles, viewings and recommendations. "Content" means any content posted to the Service, including, but not limited to forum posts, blog posts, reviews, viewings, text posted to a chat room, files, binaries or any other computer data.
In basic terms you understand and agree that the Service is provided "AS-IS" and that Square Eight assumes no responsibility for, among other things, (1) any Service outages or interruptions (2) the unavailability of any particular part of the Service, (3) the inability to access the Service, (4) the failure or inability to post Content to the Service, (4) the deletion of Content posted to a Service, (5) the failure to store Content posted to a Service or (6) any Content available from the Service.
Considering the real-time nature of the Service, it is impossible for us to review all Content or confirm the validity of information posted. We do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any Content, and are not responsible for the Content. Any user who feels that any Content is objectionable is encouraged to contact us immediately by email or via any provided reporting tool. You agree, through your use of the Service, that you will not post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, contains software viruses, trojan horses or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment, consists of instructional information on illegal activities and/or otherwise violates any law. You agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you.
You agree that any Content posted to the Service will be made available to others via a Creative Commons BY-SA license, available at http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ and that you will not object to the content being used by the Service in any context.
Although Square Eight does not and cannot review the Content posted and is not responsible for the Content, we reserve the right to delete any Content for any or no reason whatsoever. You remain solely responsible for any Content you send to the Service, and you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Square Eight (the makers of the Service) and their agents with respect to any claim based upon transmission of your Content.
Please note that advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are inappropriate Content on any Service.
